Third-Party Integrations
Understand how Ascentia integrates with third-party services and how we protect your data during these connections.
Trading Platforms
Ascentia integrates with major trading platforms to automatically import your trades and provide comprehensive analysis:
- MetaTrader 4/5: Direct API integration for forex and CFD trades
- Interactive Brokers: Secure connection via TWS API
- TD Ameritrade: OAuth-based integration for stocks and options
- Binance: API key integration for cryptocurrency trading
- TradeStation: Secure API connection for futures and equities
Data Analytics Services
We use trusted third-party services to enhance your experience:
- AI Analysis: OpenAI and Anthropic for trade insights
- Market Data: Real-time pricing from authorized data providers
- Cloud Storage: AWS and Vercel for secure data storage
Secure Authentication
All third-party integrations use industry-standard authentication methods:
- OAuth 2.0: For platforms that support it, ensuring you never share passwords
- API Keys: Encrypted and stored securely in our database
- Read-Only Access: We only request permissions to read trade data, never to execute trades
- Token Rotation: Regular refresh of authentication tokens for enhanced security
Data Encryption
All data transmitted between Ascentia and third-party services is encrypted:
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all API communications
- End-to-end encryption for sensitive credentials
- Encrypted storage of API keys and tokens
- Regular security audits of integration endpoints
Minimal Data Sharing
We only share the minimum necessary data with third-party services:
- Trading platforms: Only authentication credentials (never stored in plain text)
- AI services: Anonymized trade data without personal identifiers
- Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics
Viewing Connected Services
- Go to Settings → Integrations

Disconnecting Integrations
You can disconnect any integration at any time:
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations

- Click "Disconnect" or "Revoke Access"
- Confirm the disconnection
- Your credentials are immediately deleted from our systems
Reconnecting Services
If you disconnect a service, you can reconnect it anytime by going through the authentication process again. Your historical data imported from that service will remain in your journal.
Review Partner Policies
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We recommend reviewing these policies:
- Trading platform privacy policies (available on their websites)
- AI service providers (OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Vercel)
Our Vetting Process
Before integrating with any third-party service, we conduct thorough security and privacy assessments:
- Review of their security certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Assessment of their data handling practices
- Evaluation of their encryption standards
- Regular re-assessment of existing integrations

If a third-party service we integrate with experiences a data breach:
- We immediately assess the impact on Ascentia users
- Temporarily disable the affected integration if necessary
- Notify all affected users within 72 hours
- Provide guidance on protective measures you should take
