How We Protect Your Data
Security measures for third-party connections

Secure Authentication

All third-party integrations use industry-standard authentication methods:

  • OAuth 2.0: For platforms that support it, ensuring you never share passwords
  • API Keys: Encrypted and stored securely in our database
  • Read-Only Access: We only request permissions to read trade data, never to execute trades
  • Token Rotation: Regular refresh of authentication tokens for enhanced security

Data Encryption

All data transmitted between Ascentia and third-party services is encrypted:

  • TLS 1.3 encryption for all API communications
  • End-to-end encryption for sensitive credentials
  • Encrypted storage of API keys and tokens
  • Regular security audits of integration endpoints

Minimal Data Sharing

We only share the minimum necessary data with third-party services:

  • Trading platforms: Only authentication credentials (never stored in plain text)
  • AI services: Anonymized trade data without personal identifiers
  • Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics
Managing Your Integrations
Control which services have access to your data

Viewing Connected Services

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. View all connected trading platforms and services
  3. See when each integration was last used
  4. Review the permissions granted to each service

Disconnecting Integrations

You can disconnect any integration at any time:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Integrations

Third-Party Privacy Policies
Understanding how integrated services handle your data

Review Partner Policies

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We recommend reviewing these policies:

  • Trading platform privacy policies (available on their websites)
  • AI service providers (OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Vercel)

Our Vetting Process

Before integrating with any third-party service, we conduct thorough security and privacy assessments:

  • Review of their security certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Assessment of their data handling practices
  • Evaluation of their encryption standards
  • Regular re-assessment of existing integrations
Data Breach Notification

Our Response Protocol

If a third-party service we integrate with experiences a data breach:

  1. We immediately assess the impact on Ascentia users
  2. Temporarily disable the affected integration if necessary
  3. Notify all affected users within 72 hours
  4. Provide guidance on protective measures you should take
  5. Work with the service provider to resolve the issue

Your Actions

If you receive a breach notification from us or a third-party service:

  • Change your passwords immediately
  • Review your account for suspicious activity
  • Consider disconnecting the affected integration
